Security Settings – Two-Factor Authentication

Two-factor authentication (2FA) adds an extra layer of security: alongside your password, you'll also need a second code to log in, generated by an app on your phone. That way your account stays protected even if someone gets hold of your password.

Steps to enable it

  1. Log in, then go to My Account → Security Settings.
  2. Find the "Two-Factor Authentication" section and click "Enable".
  3. Install an authenticator app on your phone if you don't already have one (e.g. Google Authenticator, Authy, or similar).
  4. Scan the QR code shown on screen with the app.
  5. Enter the 6-digit code the app generates into the portal to confirm.
  6. Save the backup codes you're given somewhere safe – you'll need these if you ever can't reach your phone.

From then on, you'll need to enter that code in addition to your password every time you log in.

!!! tip Don't store your backup codes on your phone – if that's the very thing you lose, you'll be stuck without them. Keeping them in a password manager or printed out somewhere safe is your best bet.

If you can't reach your authenticator app

If you've lost your phone or removed the app from it, you can use one of your previously saved backup codes at login. If those are used up or you can't find them either, open a ticket – after verifying your identity, we'll help you regain access.

Turning it off

If you ever want to disable 2FA, you can do so in the same place under Security Settings – you'll need to confirm it with your current password (and a current 2FA code) as well.
